Russell Talley 
Russell was born in 1768 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.1 Russell's father was Joseph Talley and his mother was Jane Russell. His paternal grandparents were William H. Talley and Rachel Grief; his maternal grandparents were Jeffrey Russell and Elizabeth Wood. He had two brothers and a sister, named George Washington, Grief and Mary Ann. He died at the age of 84 on November 5th, 1852 in Ouachia Parish, Louisiana.1 
‌Russell and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on July 14th, 1791 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.1 They had five sons named Joseph T, Mark R, William, James and John Wesley.

Mark R Talley
Mark R was born on October 16th, 1808 in Greene County, Georgia.1 He died at the age of 68 on January 15th, 1877 in Hawamba or Lee County, Mississippi. He was buried in Andrews Chapel Cemetery, Mooreville, Mississippi.1 1
