Allen Talley 
Allen was born on January 27th, 1810 in Cabell County, Virginia (WV).1 Allen's father was Grief Talley and his mother was Lucinda Curtis. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Talley and Jane Russell; his maternal grandparents were Churchill Curtis and Lucy. He had two brothers and a sister, named Joseph, George and Nancy. Allen supposedly left his family to go west with the Mormons. Lynnea Dickensen found no proof of Allen being the son of Grief, except for the1830 Lawrence County, Ohio census. Ida Talley, daughter of Alma, states Allen died in St Louis, MO of typhoid.
