James Samuel Russell 
James Samuel was born on March 7th, 1801 in Green Briar County, Virginia.1 James Samuel's father was John Russell and his mother was Hannah "Patience" Rankin. His paternal grandparents were Jeffrey Russell and Elizabeth Wood. He had nine brothers and eight sisters, named Samuel, Sanders, Thomas Jefferson, Francis(Frank), William, Jeremiah, John, Lawrence, Manoah B., Ginsey Jane, Armilda, Anna, Elizabeth, Elizabeth Jemima, Esther, Jemima Elizabeth and Rachel. He died at the age of 70 on October 30th, 1871 in Aid Township, Lawrence County, Ohio.1 -
