James Vance Lusk 
James Vance was born on August 15th, 1754 in Union District, South Carolina.1 James Vance's father was Robert Lusk and his mother was Mary Vance. His paternal grandparents were James Lusk and Jennett; his maternal grandfather was James Vance. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Andrew, Thomas, John, George Vance, Nancy Agnes, Mary, Jennett and Sarah. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 49 on September 27th, 1803.1
