William Clay 
William's father was Charles Clay and his mother was Sarah 2. His paternal grandparents were Charles Clay and Hannah Wilson. He had four brothers and a sister, named James, Thomas, Charles, Henry and Judith.General Notes

William was deeded two hundred fifty acres of land in Amelia County 5 May 1752. On 6 September 1764, William and his wife Ann made a deed to part with these lands.
