John Tipton 
John was born in 1771 in Washington County,Virginia. John's father was Major Jonathon Tipton and his mother was Frances Perlina Daughtery. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Tipton and Elizabeth (Adams) Edwards; his maternal grandfather was John Daughtery. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, William Hannibal, Jonathan, David, Wiley, Jacob, Mary and Hannah. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joseph, Kennedy, Lavinia, Ellendor and Elizabeth. He died in Horward County,Missouri.General Notes
