David Tipton 
David was born about 1778. David's father was Major Jonathon Tipton and his mother was Frances Perlina Daughtery. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Tipton and Elizabeth (Adams) Edwards; his maternal grandfather was John Daughtery. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Samuel, William Hannibal, Jonathan, Wiley, Jacob, Mary and Hannah. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joseph, Kennedy, Lavinia, Ellendor and Elizabeth. He died about 1865.-
