Zachary TAYLOR 
Zachary was born on April 17th, 1707 in Rapidan, Orange, Virginia.1 Zachary's father was James Taylor and his mother was Martha Thompson. His paternal grandparents were James Taylor and Mary Frances Walker; his maternal grandparents were William Thompson and Martha (Thompson). He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, Erasmus, Charles, George, Frances, Mildred, Hannah, Tabitha and Martha Thompson. He died at the age of 60 on March 1st, 1768 in Rapidan, Orange, Virginia. He was buried in Meadow Farm Cem, Orange, Virginia.1 1 General Notes

**!NOTE: A wealthy plantation owner with 26 slaves. He was a vestryman of St. Thomas Parish , Orange Co. Va. in 1744, and Justice in the county after 1734.
Zachary fought in the French and Indian War (1754-1766). He received 1,000 acres of land fo r his services.
Possibly had one son Joseph from a 2nd marriage who later moved to Edgecombe Co, NC. (from P ATRICKS3 AOL)
