John Sample

John was born in 1826.¹   John's father was John Sample and his mother was Sallie Prewitt.  His maternal grandparents were Fields Pruitt and Mary Burke. He had five brothers and a sister, named James Monroe, Fields, Joseph, William, M. and Sarah.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.
