James Monroe Sample

James Monroe was born on December 15th, 1824 in Morgan Co., Ill.¹   James Monroe's father was John Sample and his mother was Sallie Prewitt.  His maternal grandparents were Fields Pruitt and Mary Burke. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, Fields, Joseph, William, M. and Sarah.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 82 in January 1907 in Payne Co, OK.¹
