  Enoch M. Parsons RILEY  All 3 of the Monroe Co RILEY BROs were born in Edgefiel d Co SC They all came to Monroe Co. AL in 1823 settling on Flat Creek in Monroe and all had successful plantation operations in the  area. His will was probat ed on Apr 25 1838  William Eldridge Riley was  named Executor and guardian of h is minor children. WILL OF ENOCH RILEY Written: 25June 1838 Probated: 25 Septem ber 1838 In the name of God Amen I Enoch Riley, Senior of the State and County aforesaid being weak in body but of common strenth of mind do make  this my las t will and testament in manner and form as follows. Vig. I give unto Betsy Ann, my beloved daughter, her bed and  furniture and one cow and calf.  And I give unto my beloved son George Washington  one grey filley and saddle and bridle. Also, I give unto my son Peter  Cullom one hundred and twenty five dollars as a lso my son Jeremiah the same  sum as above given to his brother , Peter Cullom. I also give unto my three younger daughters Nancy, Ellen, and  Cassinda each o ne feather bed and furniture and curtains, Also one cow and  calf each, as as a lso my four younger sons, James Nolen, Enoch Parsons,  John Hambleton, and Bars illa, Two Hundred dollars each, all which property or, money given as above sta ted, are considered extra as they will  all come in for an equal share in what follows, as also all my other  children which is as follows. Jinsey, Pnesha, El dridge, Harriet, Tempe, and Joysey all to come in  with those above mentioned s hare and share.  I therefore, wish that all my Property of every kind after tak ing of as above named shall be sold  and equally divided among them all as abov e stated and I leave my  beloved son, Eldridge Riley, as my sole executor to do and perform all such acts  or or things as above required, who shall hereby be vested with full  power so to do, and I further request that my son Eldridge, my executor, do  take Betsu Ann, and all the rest of my children that are minor s, and that  he act as Guardian in taking care of them, and what they may have till  they shall come of age to act for themselves.
