Rueben H. was born in 1859.1 Rueben H.'s father was Sterling Crowder and his mother was Margaret POWELL. His paternal grandparents were Burrell Crowder and Sarah Ann Sally Drye. He had a brother and three sisters, named Jacob, Mary, Matilda and Permelia. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Lorenzo B., Sarah, Burnice and Georgina.-
