Henry Goldman 
Henry was born about 1735.1 Henry's father was Jacob Goldman and his mother was Mary Abigail Brown. He had two brothers and a sister, named Jacob, John and Mary. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died before April 1781 in Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina.1 General Notes

Henry Goldman is the earliest proven ancestor in our Goldman line. He was in Mecklenberg Coun ty, NC by 1762. His wife's name is unknown but it is probable one of her daughters carries he r name. Henry Goldman pruchased land along Little Coldwater Creek in Mecklenberg County, clos e to the present town of Kannapolis, in 1764. His will is recorded in Book C pages 116-118 o f Mecklenberg County records and was proved in April 1781. The children named in this will ar e as follows.

We are looking for the descendants of Humphrey and Anne (GOLDMAN) BAKER. Humphrey b. 171 1 in England, and came to Maryland in 1729. He migrated to the "valley of Virginia" in the 17 30's, into what was then Orange County. He married Anne Abt. 1736. Humphrey had the followin g male children: Thomas b. Abt. 1737, John b. ???, George b. ???, Robert b. 1754, and Alexand er b. ???. Humphrey also had 1 daughter, Mary b. bef. 5/1755. Specifically, we are looking fo r any/all of Humphrey's grandchildren, especially an Elijah Baker b. Abt. 1758, who had tie s to Grayson Co., VA. Humphrey was known to be the first permanent settler in present-day Was hington Co., VA. Note that some of Humphery's descendants settled in North Carolina and als o Greene Co., TN. Humphrey's son Thomas was granted land on the north bank of the Nolichuck y River in North Carolina, now Tennessee.
