George Venable

George was born in 1849 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   George's father was Daniel Venable and his mother was Mary Lawson.  His maternal grandparents were Martin Lawson and Nancy. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named John, William, James, Joseph, Andrew, Zora, Nancy, Catherine, Priscilla, Mary, Charity, Martha and Mary Margaret.  He was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children.
