Joseph Tilson

Joseph was born in 1840 in ,Of Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Joseph's father was Henry Tilson and his mother was Adeline. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry Clay, William K., Jacob, Zacharias, Charles, Maria Elizabeth, Mary and Cynthia.  He was the oldest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Rufus, Hugh F., Lilburn B., Horace J. and Alice.
