Alexander Skelton 
Alexander was born on June 1st, 1793 in ,Amherst, Virginia.1 Alexander's father was John Skelton and his mother was Elizabeth Roberts. His paternal grandparents were Skelton and Ann; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Roberts and Elizabeth Clemmons. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, John, William, Thomas, James, Reuben, Abraham Carter, Nancy and Mary Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 81 on November 15th, 1874 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 -
