Orena Bell Shipley

Orena Bell was born in 1884 in Virginia.¹ Orena Bell's father was Samuel Augustus Shipley and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Gilley. Her paternal grandparents were John Childers Shipley and Nancy Martitia Green. She had five brothers and a sister, named Napoleon Benjamin, Loyd Cleveland, Ballard Henry, John Childers, Garland David and Martha. She was the oldest of the seven children.
