John Scism

John was born on September 8th, 1816 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   John's father was William Scism and his mother was Elizabeth Duncan. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Jesse D., William, James M., Mary Or Polly, Lucretia, Elizabeth and Nancy.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
