Franklin Scism

Franklin was born in 1848 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Franklin's father was Jesse D. Scism and his mother was Nancy Skelton.  His paternal grandparents were William Scism and Elizabeth Duncan. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William, James, John, Jesse, Samuel, George, Ann, Elizabeth, Lucretia, Mary and Martha.  He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.
