Elizabeth Scism

Elizabeth was born in 1840 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Elizabeth's father was Jesse D. Scism and her mother was Nancy Skelton.  Her paternal grandparents were William Scism and Elizabeth Duncan. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named William, James, John, Jesse, Samuel, Franklin, George, Ann, Lucretia, Mary and Martha.  She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.
