Elizabeth was born on July 14th, 1743 in MD.1 Elizabeth's father was John Sappington and her mother was Margaret. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Sappington and Margaret Hartley. She had five brothers and a sister, named John "Jack", James, Hartley, Sylvester, Richard and Patience. She was the oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Richard.1 -
