James Rowan

James was born about 1779 in ,,Virginia.¹ James' father was William Rowan and his mother was Elizabeth Ellison. His paternal grandfather was Francis Rowan. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Francis, Samuel M., David, Mary Or Polly, Elizabeth and Ann. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died before 1850 in ,,Of Alabama.¹
