Elmer Andrew was born on May 6th, 1918 in Las Animas CO.1 Elmer Andrew's father was Nels Elmer Nelson and his mother was Elizabeth (Beth) May Rodda. His paternal grandparents were Andreas Solomon Nielsen and Hanna Trulson Johnson; his maternal grandparents were Henry James Rodda and Ida Florence Clarke. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Living, Living, Dorothy Ella and Living. He died at the age of 73 on February 12th, 1992 in Covina CA.1 General Notes

Named Elmer Nelson Jr. Gave himself a middle name (after his
grandfather) when he was a youth. Convicted of aggravated
robbery at age 17. Father pleaded for custody which was granted
as part of5 years probation and after restitution was paid. He
served in the US Navy during WWII and received many
commendations. After the death of Lila, he became a committed
christian. He was very ashamed of the early years of his life.
Hewent to L.I.F.E. Bible school in Los Angeles, CA. and became
a minister and pastor. The balance of his life was dedicated to
helping youths (Life's Highway Ranch for Boys) and pastoring in
several churches. He was a police chaplain in Azusa and
committed most of his life to "making a difference." His early
failures gave him keen insight into the nature of man and why
redemption and grace are so necessary. He was loved and
respected by his family and congregations for the man he became.@@S32@@
