Richard Mowell

Richard was born in 1836 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Richard's father was Jacob Mowell and his mother was Amanda.  His paternal grandfather was Mowell. He had ten brothers and a sister, named Benjamin M., Isaac, James, John, Anderson, Henry, Jacob, William, Thomas, Joseph and Katherine.  He was the third oldest of the twelve children.
