James McCraw

James was born about 1818 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   James' father was Gabriel McCraw and his mother was Susannah Latham.  His paternal grandfather was William McCraw; his maternal grandparents were John Latham and Susannah Henderson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William, John Latham, Samuel, Minerva, Orlena, Eveline, Adeline E. and Susan Latham.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.  He died after 1839.¹
