Peter Lawson 
Peter was born in 1811 in Lee County, Virginia.1 Peter's father was Moorman Lawson and his mother was Elvira Collins. His paternal grandparents were Bartholomew Lawson and Susannah Simkins. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Moorman, William Stokely, Phoebe Ellen and Jane. He had six half-brothers named David, Stokely, Hudson, Thomas, John and Ambrose.-
