His paternal grandparents were William Lawson and Isabel Kenney; his maternal grandparents were John Simkins and Elizabeth French. He had ten brothers named David, Randolph, William, John, Elisha, Peter, Philip, Bartholomew, Jacob and Reuben. He died on September 16th, 1842 in Hancock Co., TN.1 -
