Isabella Perkey was born about 1815 in Virginia.1 Isabella Perkey's father was Jacob C. Kite and her mother was Catherine Slagel. Her paternal grandparents were Martin Kite and Catharine Kiser; her maternal grandparents were George Slagel and Catherine Kainath. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William H., George D., Oliver Hazard, Jacob R., Martin Van Buren, Julia Ann, Mary Catherine, Angelina and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the ten children.-
