Lovina was born about 1890 in ,,Ohio.1 Lovina's father was Winfield Kent and her mother was Sarah Minerva Parsons. Her maternal grandparents were Solomon Parsons and Amanda Cavanee. She had three brothers and a sister, named Jacob, Cleveland, Robert and Ariville. She was the youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Henry.-
