Rebecca Jossey 
Rebecca was born in 1791 in North Carolina.1 Rebecca's father was Robert Jossey and her mother was Mary Pitman. Her paternal grandparents were James Jossey and Margaret Or Peggy Whitaker; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Pitman and Mary Lane. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Cary, Henry, James, John W., Robert M., Samuel, Elizabeth and Harriet.-
