James Marion Jones

James Marion was born on January 12th, 1865 in Hawkins Co., TN.¹   James Marion's father was Pleasant Carter Jones and his mother was Poriade Serginer.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Jones and Mary Gardiner. He had four brothers and nine sisters, named William, Landon C., Alexander, Jesse, Mahaley, Jane, Martha Jane, Patience, Jerusha, Mary Or Polly, Sarah, Elizabeth and Rosannah Or Rosa.  He was the second youngest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 75 on September 1st, 1940 in Kokomo, Howard Co., IN.¹
