William Hicks

William was born on February 12th, 1813 in Greene, TN.¹   William's father was Stephen Hicks and his mother was Hannah Grey.  His paternal grandparents were Stephen Hicks and Elizabeth Cox. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Greenbury Anderson, Andrew E., Alfred, Stephen Bright, Lucinda, Betsy A., Hannah, Martha M. and Mary.  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 72 on November 1st, 1885 in Hanford, Kings, CA.¹
