Kissiah Hicks

Kissiah was born in 1809 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Kissiah's father was Nathaniel Hicks and her mother was Mary Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Hicks and Elizabeth. She had six brothers and a sister, named Isaac, Abraham, Reuben, John, James, Nathaniel R. and Elizabeth.  She was the oldest of the eight children.
