Martha G. was born on July 20th, 1856 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.1   Martha G.'s father was Nelson Calloway Henderson and her mother was Wiltha Ann Combest.  Her paternal grandparents were William G. Henderson and \\ Vaderpohler\Vanderpool; her maternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Nancy Hammond. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Sonny Green, Jonas William, George Hillery, John A., William, Nancy Jane, Mary Margaret, Lucy Ann and Elzira M..  She was the third oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 35 on February 17th, 1892 in Casey County, Kentucky (Trace Fork Cemetery).1
