James Martin Dickson

James Martin was born in 1850 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   James Martin's father was John Dickson and his mother was Elizabeth T. Lizenby.  His paternal grandparents were William Howard Dickson and Mary Shipley. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Howard, Charles Lisenby, Richard L., George Washington, Mary Elizabeth and Susan Bell.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 68 in 1918.¹
