John Dowell Combest 
John Dowell was born on August 7th, 1909 in Russell Springs, Kentucky.1 John Dowell's father was John Dowell Combest and his mother was Carrie Bright Harmon. His paternal grandparents were James Marion Combest and George Ann Sloan; his maternal grandparents were Henry Elisha Harmon and Eliza Washington Taylor. He had two brothers and four sisters, named George Allen, Henry Harmon, Flora Dell, Carrie Tina, Dorothy Lewis and Emma Washington. He died at the age of 60 on April 10th, 1970.1 -
