Joseph Helm Clay

Joseph Helm was born on October 22nd, 1803 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹ Joseph Helm's father was Henry Clay and his mother was Margaret Helm. His paternal grandparents were Henry Clay and Rachel Povall. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Henry, John, Samuel H., Francis Povall, Matthew Martin, Lettitia, Sarah Or Sallie, Elizabeth Payne, Mary Ann and Henrietta. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 43 on January 27th, 1847 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹
