William Champion 
William was born on December 24th, 1817 in Of, Worth, GA.1 William's father was Micajah Fort Champion and his mother was Elizabeth Martin. His paternal grandparents were William Champion and Mary Fort; his maternal grandparents were George Martin and Lavenia Geiger. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named George Martin, John Fort, Andrew Fort, Elias Fort, Marion Eley, Micajah James, David Fort, Daniel Huff, Martha F., Lavenia, Rebecca and Sarah Frances. He was the oldest of the thirteen children.-
