Eliza Jane Byars 
Eliza Jane was born in 1832 in Washington County, Virginia.1 Eliza Jane's father was George Washington Byars and her mother was Ann Blessing. Her maternal grandparents were Jacob Blessing and Elizabeth Messersmith. She had four brothers and two sisters, named George Washington, James Allen, John, Thomas, Mary Ann and Susan. She was the third oldest of the seven children.-
