Mary Brantley 
Mary was born about 1754 in Halifax, NC.1 Mary's father was Edward Brantley and her mother was Martha Pitman. Her paternal grandparents were James Brantley and Ruth; her maternal grandfather was Pitman. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Lewis, William, Edward, Robert, Benjamin, James, Martha Or Patty and Anna. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
