Sarah Jane Boyd 
Sarah Jane was born in 1857 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Sarah Jane's father was James A. Boyd and her mother was Elizabeth Paxton. Her paternal grandparents were William Boyd and Elizabeth Douglas. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John Wilder, David Paxton, Elbert S., Rachel, Margaret, Virginia A., Nancy Ann and Elizabeth. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
