John Wilder Boyd

John Wilder was born on February 25th, 1842 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   John Wilder's father was James A. Boyd and his mother was Elizabeth Paxton.  His paternal grandparents were William Boyd and Elizabeth Douglas. He had two brothers and six sisters, named David Paxton, Elbert S., Rachel, Margaret, Virginia A., Sarah Jane, Nancy Ann and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 78 on May 11th, 1920.¹
