John Tipton Beaman 
John Tipton was born on February 14th, 1851 in ,Owen, Indiana.1 John Tipton's father was James Beaman and his mother was Lydia Helm. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Beaman and Sarah Langdon; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Helm and Rachel Beaman. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Calvin, William, George White, Samuel Simpson, Jacob Gibson, Elihu, James Fain, Rachel, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eleven children.-
