Fred Battle 
Fred was born in 1792 in North Carolina.1 Fred's father was William Battle and her mother was Mary Ann Williams. Her paternal grandparents were John Battle and Sarah Browne; her maternal grandfather was John Williams. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Laurence, William, Larken, Alfred, Elizabeth Williams, Martha Williams and Mary Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
