Nicholas Amos 
Nicholas was born about 1793 in ,Jefferson, Kentucky.1 Nicholas' father was Thomas Amos and his mother was Catherine Devore. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Day Amos and Christiana Ditto. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Mordecai, John Devore, Abraham Ditto, William Cook, Elizabeth, Harriet, Catherine, Christiana and Ann. He was the second oldest of the ten children.-
