Mary Ellen Slaymaker 
Mary Ellen was born on June 21st, 1856 in Lancaster Co., PA. Mary Ellen's father was William Mathias III Slaymaker and her mother was Mary Catharine Eckert. Her paternal grandparents were William Mathias, Jr. Slaymaker and Elizabeth Ellmaker. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named Peter Eckert, William Mathias IV, George C. Eckert, Lucy Eckert, Elizabeth E., Jane Kinzer, Catherine Amanda, Caroline Augusta, Laura Georgia, Edith Iola and Margaret. She was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 16 on May 2nd, 1873.General Notes
