Annis Elizabeth was born on May 17th, 1865 in Scott County, Virginia. Annis Elizabeth's father was Simon Peter Ward and her mother was Amanda Elizabeth Shipley. Her paternal grandparents were Drury Ward and Elizabeth Prater; her maternal grandparents were Caleb Shipley and Elizabeth Galloway. She had two brothers and a sister, named William E., Simon Peter and Martha Gilley. She had a half-brother named Thomas Franklin. She died at the age of 73 on August 1st, 1938.-
