George Simmons

George was born on December 11th, 1811 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  George's father was Christian Simon Or Simmons and his mother was Catherine Amend Or Ammons.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Simon and Margaret. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, Samuel, Margaret, Elizabeth, Susannah Catherine, Mary, Martha and Anna.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.
