Amanda Rowland 
Amanda was born in 1862 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Amanda's father was David Rowland and her mother was Phebe A. Vaughan. Her paternal grandparents were Nathan G. Rowland and Mary Parker. She had five brothers and a sister, named James F., Clarence, Henry, William, Robert and Adeline. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
