Ellender Northern

Ellender was born in 1827 in , Burke, N.C..  Ellender's father was Davis Northern and her mother was Sarah.  Her paternal grandfather was Northern. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Ephraim, William, Nelson, Elizabeth, Nancy and Mary.  She was the oldest of the eight children.
